Job Description

- Demonstrate expert level in clinical assessment and management that is to be reflected in the knowledge, skills, clinical reasoning, and clinical outcomes. Formulate accurate prognoses and develop comprehensive discharge plans, which may include recommending best course of further management other than Speech Therapy. Offer effective and patient services that will enable people to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities. Document the clinical assessment and intervention process as per department standard using the specific assessment forms that adopt SOAP format. Plan and implement a program of speech therapy which facilitates the rehabilitation of the mentally and physically handicapped. Responsible for providing speech therapy services with the prime goal to prevent disability, restore patient functional capabilities to an optimum level and assist them to maintain this level. This will involve work with both adults and pediatric who have speech, language and voice disorders resulting from causes such as brain injury, CVA, emotional, psychological, congenital abnormalities problem and other medically related issues (e.g. aphasia, traumatic brain injury, progressive neurological disorders, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, etc.). Implement recognized standards of practice and evaluates them using both formal and informal methods.

- Develop, review and revise Operational Procedures regulating all clinical and non-clinical processes in the section, and ensure that they are according to template and organization policy. Ensure that all staff are trained on Operational Procedures, and that these procedures integrate with the policies and procedures of the organization. Instruct and demonstrate the use of specific new techniques, equipment, improvement of methods and techniques to minimize health hazards to patients and staff.

- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Participate in staff education and training.

- Identify under-performance and develop service improvement plans (using the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle, PDCA) that provide solutions and enhance the overall service. Engage staff in service improvement initiatives: be part of multidisciplinary task forces to identify problems and develop solutions (e.g.optimal utilization of tests, improved turn around times, etc). Where systems and processes are reconfigured, or new services introduced, monitor and ensure the desired change/system meets the needs and expectations of patients.

- Be punctual for duties and tasks and follow directions of Section Head. Comply with all organization and section policies and procedures, and be accountable for all actions. Display positive attitude towards colleagues and superiors and take initiative regarding tasks and responsibilities. Be innovative with the tasks at hand. Always adhere to the organization's dress code, personal hygiene and professional appearance. Be adaptable to changes in the organization or procedures, and motivate others to do the same. Demonstrate problem solving skills, and always ensure accuracy and high quality of work. Ensure that productivity level is in accordance with expectations, and show commitment to the job and organization.

تأسست الهيئة الملكية للجبيل وينبع بموجب مرسوم ملكي أصدره جلالة الملك خالد بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ يرحمه الله - في 16 رمضان عام 1395هـ الموافق 21 سبتمبر عام 1975م. وجاء في المرسوم الملكي: (تشكل هيئة ملكية لتنفيذ خطة التجهيزات الأساسية اللازمة لإعداد منطقتي الجبيل وينبع كمنطقتين صناعيتين ويكون لهذه الهيئة شخصية معنوية مستقلة). كما خصصت للهيئة الملكية ميزانية مستقلة لتنفيذ أعمالها. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu was established as per a Royal Decree issued by HM King Khalid - May Allah have mercy upon him - in 21 September 1975 (16 Ramadan 1395H). The Royal Decree read “A Royal Commission shall be formed to execute the necessary infrastructure plan for the preparation of Jubail and Yanbu Cities as industrial areas. The Commission shall have an independent legal personality”. An independent budget was dedicated for the Royal Commission.
