- Respond to consultation requests to assist patient or family to cope with various illnesses through individual or family counseling. Responsible for all information given to patients and outside bodies regarding the department, including designing and editing a brochure defining the units objectives, goals and services. Collaborate with a patient's physician and patient's nurse prior to patient's visit to ensure that the support being offered is part of a coordinated plan of care. Interview patients / families to establish and assess the nature and extent of the reason for referral and learn enough about the person to understand the present and potential consequences of the issue Responsible for discharge planning, psychosocial counseling, social/ home evaluation and social education. Document relevant patient information in the Medical Record, and treat patient information obtained as confidential. Ensure that the standards established by the Joint Commission International and other current accreditation bodies are met in all respects within the area of responsibility, and to apply the departmental policies and procedures. Play an active role in internal and external disasters in supporting patients and families affected. Participate in orientation of new clinical personnel, explaining role and services offered by the Social Services Unit. Keep current on services available within the community that could be useful to patients. Willingness to achieve a greater service for patients with in RCHSP, and to create unique programs for the benefit of the Patients. Prepare reports as required to keep the manager updated with regard to the work of the unit. Maintain Code of Ethics, corporate values and respect patient's rights. Report and communicate through the appropriate chain of command as shown on the organizational chart. Request assistance from the supervisor, as necessary, to resolve problems that cannot be resolved alone.

- Be punctual for duties and tasks and follow directions of Section Head. Comply with all organization and section policies and procedures, and be accountable for all actions. Display positive attitude towards colleagues and superiors and take initiative regarding tasks and responsibilities. Be innovative with the tasks at hand. Always adhere to the organization's dress code, personal hygiene and professional appearance. Be adaptable to changes in the organization or procedures, and motivate others to do the same. Demonstrate problem solving skills, and always ensure accuracy and high quality of work. Ensure that productivity level is in accordance with expectations, and show commitment to the job and organization.

- Excellent communication with all staff members in various sections of the Health Program to ensure good service delivery. Communication with patients to assist with all concerns raised.

تأسست الهيئة الملكية للجبيل وينبع بموجب مرسوم ملكي أصدره جلالة الملك خالد بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ يرحمه الله - في 16 رمضان عام 1395هـ الموافق 21 سبتمبر عام 1975م. وجاء في المرسوم الملكي: (تشكل هيئة ملكية لتنفيذ خطة التجهيزات الأساسية اللازمة لإعداد منطقتي الجبيل وينبع كمنطقتين صناعيتين ويكون لهذه الهيئة شخصية معنوية مستقلة). كما خصصت للهيئة الملكية ميزانية مستقلة لتنفيذ أعمالها. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu was established as per a Royal Decree issued by HM King Khalid - May Allah have mercy upon him - in 21 September 1975 (16 Ramadan 1395H). The Royal Decree read “A Royal Commission shall be formed to execute the necessary infrastructure plan for the preparation of Jubail and Yanbu Cities as industrial areas. The Commission shall have an independent legal personality”. An independent budget was dedicated for the Royal Commission.
