Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Nurse Risk Coordinator is responsible to oversee risk management activities at the RCMC and associated satellites clinics. The appointee is responsible for risk identification, loss prevention, evaluations and resolution activities. Perform duties for all clinical entities within the facility including acute care and ambulatory setting. Provides education and consultation on risk prevention issues. Essential duties and responsibilities have been identified. Other duties may be assigned. The appointee is also responsible to assist in the development and administration of the Quality Improvement Plan for RCMC Department of Nursing.
This includes assisting with clinical quality services, and process initiatives, quality reporting, leading process improvement teams, assisting with the planning and coordinating of the agenda for the Quality Council, summarizing and prioritizing quality and utilization data, and the planning, implementing and evaluating of improvement activities. Completes quality reviews, medical record audits and credentialing on-site visits.
1. Follow RCMC policy and procedure.
2. Attends annual review and performs departmental in-services.
3. Prepare reports as required as required.
4. Follow dress code.
5. Adhere to the chain of command.
6. Perform other duties related to the work as assigned by the Manager /supervisor as needed.
7. Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with Vendors, Physicians and Staff.
8. Maintains regulatory requirements, including all national and JCI regulations.
9. Wears identification while on duty.
10. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire, safety and infection control.
11. Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the hospital.
12. Excellent attendance record.
13. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community.
14. Maintains organizational confidentiality at all times.
15. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
16. Resolves personnel concerns at the departmental level, utilizing the grievance process as required.
17. Completes annual education requirement .
18. It is the duty of every employee to report any negative or abnormal or unexpected event/incident as soon as possible after its occurrence by filling the appropriate Electronic Occurrence Variance Report (eOVR).
2.1.1 Identifies and processes known or suspected systemic and/or quality of care problems, and variation from the standards of care by auditing core operations, patient care processes, and medical record documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
2.1.2 Facilitates the development of and monitors corrective action plans to address identified systemic and/or individual quality of care issues, adverse outcomes, and strategies to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence. Tracks and trends all quality of care issues and reports resolution to appropriate management staff.
2.1.3 Designing, developing and delivering new initiatives, policies and procedures on risk assessment and management
2.1.4 Plan monitoring techniques (including criteria development and statistical analysis), nursing care delivery in hospital and outpatient settings.
2.1.5 Using approved audit tools, tracks, interpret and reports finding.
2.1.6 Conducts a range of assessments and inspections, in conjunction with regulations on risk exposure.
2.1.7 Performs worksite walk-through assessments to determine employee work processes and potential sources of illness and injury.
2.1.8 Monitors, collects, organized data and able to develop charts and graphs.
2.1.9 Coordinated and Implements Risk Management activities according to the approved Quality Improvement Plan.
2.1.10 Conducting root cause analysis.
2.1.11 Identifies the scope of the problem, root cause analysis, and developing reports from all assessment and information sources available.
2.1.12 Participate in developing a Safety Program designed to address measurable improvement in safety based on defined indicators.
2.1.13 Supports quality improvement activities necessary to meet the requirements of JCI and regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, data collection, surveys, medical record reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
2.1.14 Contributes to the design of health controls and surveillance of actual and potential risk conditions in the work environment.
2.1.15 Demonstrating knowledge of current accreditation bodies and other regulatory standards, requirements and guidelines related to risk management.
2.1.16 Using expertise to ensure organizations meet legislative requirements.
2.1.17 Attends conferences, workshops and seminars to maintain current knowledge and promote professional and personal growth in the field of nurse risk management.
2.1.18 Develop, participates and contribute to the development of the profession by educating nurses on risk management.
2.1.19 Assess and identifies learning needs, develop appropriate action for improving and maintaining nursing standards.
2.1.20 Provide education and consultation to nursing staff on risk prevention issues.
2.1.21 Completes annual education requirements.
2.1.22 Participates in nursing care conferences, staff meetings and quality assurance activities.
2.1.23 Identifies opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing action as appropriate and consistent with the goals of RCMC
2.1.24 Assess the quality of resources, methods of education and motivates for improvements to senior management.
2.1.25 Serves as clinical practice experts in the development and review of patient care standards, and policies and procedures
2.1.26 Effectively and consistently communicates administrative directive to personnel and encourages interactive departmental meetings and discussions.
2.1.27 Act as a liaison between Health Allied groups regarding risk management.
2.1.28 Communicates potential risks verbally and written.
2.1.29 Records and reports all information within scope of authority.
Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations that the essential functions of the job can be performed
• Saudi Council Registration
• Current Nursing License
• Fluent in English, Arabic speaking is preferred
• Mathematical Skills (Statistical)
• Computer Literate (Word/Excel)
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Physically Fit
المهارات
Education:
• Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing
• Quality and risk management related certification.
Experience:
Bachelor Minimum of 5 yrs. Experience
Master Minimum of 2 yrs. Experience
Licenses / Certification:
• Holds a current valid professional license to practice.
• Saudi Council Registration
• BLS

تأسست الهيئة الملكية للجبيل وينبع بموجب مرسوم ملكي أصدره جلالة الملك خالد بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ يرحمه الله - في 16 رمضان عام 1395هـ الموافق 21 سبتمبر عام 1975م. وجاء في المرسوم الملكي: (تشكل هيئة ملكية لتنفيذ خطة التجهيزات الأساسية اللازمة لإعداد منطقتي الجبيل وينبع كمنطقتين صناعيتين ويكون لهذه الهيئة شخصية معنوية مستقلة). كما خصصت للهيئة الملكية ميزانية مستقلة لتنفيذ أعمالها. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu was established as per a Royal Decree issued by HM King Khalid - May Allah have mercy upon him - in 21 September 1975 (16 Ramadan 1395H). The Royal Decree read “A Royal Commission shall be formed to execute the necessary infrastructure plan for the preparation of Jubail and Yanbu Cities as industrial areas. The Commission shall have an independent legal personality”. An independent budget was dedicated for the Royal Commission.
