Registered Nurse

Essential Functions:

1. Provides individualized patient care as assigned according to nursing standards of care, policies, and evidence-based practice.
2. Acts as an advocate for patients and families.
3. Demonstrates transcultural principles in nursing practice.
4. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patients utilizing the Nursing Process upon admission, each shift, and with changes in patient condition. 
5. Provides education for patients and families based on assessment.
6. Administers all medications, narcotics and controlled drugs and infusions only with a physician’s order.
7. Assists physicians with a variety of procedures according to physician’s privileges.
8. Promotes a safe environment and safe patient care by embracing a safety culture identifying areas of risk. 
9. Complies with policies for personal and patient safety and for prevention of healthcare associated infections.
10. Performs other related duties within the realm of his/her knowledge and skills.

• Registered with SCFHS as Nursing Specialist
• English Proficincy (verbal and written)
• BLS certified
