وصف الوظيفة

I. Manages the RRTU in the absence of the Nurse Manager and/or as required.
II. Serves as a role model and preceptor for the RRTU department room.
III. Ensure orders, receives, secures, monitors, and accounts for drugs, vaccines, and
related supplies and administers and dispenses drugs and vaccines pursuant to
established policies, procedures, and nursing protocols.
IV. Assign patient care duties and delegate tasks appropriately based on staff
competencies and patient needs.
V. Assist and support the Nurse Manager to provide disaster/emergency health services
to address community and individual health needs.
VI. Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager in the unit planning and implementation of
International and National Standards.
VII. Assist and support the Nurse Manager to provide expert advice and technical
assistance to nursing and support staff in the implementation of services.

VIII. Assist and support the Nurse Manager to provide, lead direction to assigned staff,
including establishing workloads, prioritizing work assignments, monitoring
employee performance, interpreting policies and procedures, and resolving staff
issues.
IX. Displays professionalism while completing multiple urgent tasks in a timely manner
X. Assists in the monitoring, procurement and proper inventory of supplies. Assists in
maintaining equipment.
XI. Self-motivated and able to make decisions independently keeping physician,
department manager and appropriate others informed and supporting hospital
philosophy and decisions.
XII. Assure timely flow of patient through department.
XIII. Monitor patient schedules and ensure timely initiation and completion of dialysis
treatments.
XIV. Assist the Nurse Manager in the annual (or more frequent) appraisal of staff

Communication
I. Communicating with patients of diverse ethnic backgrounds.
II. Operate personal computers, including database, word processing, presentation, and
other related medical software.
III. Ensure accurate record keeping in accord to RCMC standards to aid communication
within the care team, detect problems or changes and promote continuity of care.
IV. Deals with patients, families and careers in order to aid resolution of complaints

Education
I. Provides orientation to new nursing and support staff.
II. Support the Nurse Manager provide education to patients, families, regarding discharge
instructions to other units
III. Participates in and supports training and development of Saudi nursing programmers

1. The RRTU Charge Nurse is expected to have knowledge of all clinical aspect related to
this area but not be directly involved

2. Dialysis Charge Nurse provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based
on the application of scientific nursing principles:
I. Primes dialyzer and bloodlines
II. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs
III. Readies dialysis equipment
IV. Oversees the dialysis treatment from start to finish
V. Cannulates accesses.
VI. Demonstrates the ability to remove femoral sheaths & administer medications,
including thrombolytic.
VII. Cleans and dresses permanent and temporary catheters
VIII. Facilitate orientation and training for new nursing staff members, ensuring competency
in renal dialysis procedures and equipment operation.
IX. Provide ongoing education and mentorship to nursing staff to enhance clinical skills
and knowledge in nephrology nursing.

X. Participate in performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support
staff growth and development.
XI. Monitors patient and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets
and records Information.
XII. Identifies irregular dialysis reactions and notifies appropriate medical team members
XIII. Secures blood works.
XIV. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness, by explaining:
post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration
of medication, if needed.

3. Undertake the assessment of patient care need, and the planning, implementation and
evaluation of care without supervision. Provide expertise in the specialty and engage
patients and carers in the management of health problems.

4. Ensure safe and effective care for patients at all stages of the patient experience
thorough their RRTU experience.

5. Initiates corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows
adverse symptomatology.

6. Provides pre- and post-procedure care to patients to avoid any unnecessary
complications and address concerns.

7. Able to perform a focus and head to toe assessment and reassessment. This includes,
adolescent, geriatric and the general patient population

8. Maintain accurate and continued nursing documentation including patient history,
condition, vital signs, treatment, response to intervention and change of status.

9. Treat patient and their family with respect and dignity. Function as a liaison for the
patient between the physician and other health care providers.

10. Works directly under physicians, assisting them during exams, diagnostic testing and
treatments

11. Maintains proper supplies and appropriate medical equipment to care for patients

12. Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by physician.

13. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, by
explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise Programs, selfadministration of medication and rehabilitation, as well as provides referrals to other
healthcare professionals for follow-up treatment

14. Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner,
in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms

15. Arrange for patient transfer to other departments and facilities, complete required
documentation.

16. Practicing infection control methods/ protocols

17. Reading and interpreting patient charts; Detecting unusual patient behavior related to
specific health conditions;

18. The RRTU Charge Nurse is expected to have knowledge of all equipment used in the
area, however may not have daily clinical involvement.

Education

• Bachelor degree of Science in Nursing.
• Intermediate program or equivalent management course (preferred)

Experience

• For Non-Saudi Minimum of 7 Yrs. Experience
• For Saudi Minimum of 5 yrs. Experience

تأسست الهيئة الملكية للجبيل وينبع بموجب مرسوم ملكي أصدره جلالة الملك خالد بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ يرحمه الله - في 16 رمضان عام 1395هـ الموافق 21 سبتمبر عام 1975م. وجاء في المرسوم الملكي: (تشكل هيئة ملكية لتنفيذ خطة التجهيزات الأساسية اللازمة لإعداد منطقتي الجبيل وينبع كمنطقتين صناعيتين ويكون لهذه الهيئة شخصية معنوية مستقلة). كما خصصت للهيئة الملكية ميزانية مستقلة لتنفيذ أعمالها. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu was established as per a Royal Decree issued by HM King Khalid - May Allah have mercy upon him - in 21 September 1975 (16 Ramadan 1395H). The Royal Decree read “A Royal Commission shall be formed to execute the necessary infrastructure plan for the preparation of Jubail and Yanbu Cities as industrial areas. The Commission shall have an independent legal personality”. An independent budget was dedicated for the Royal Commission.
