• To monitor and implement hospital-wide Infection Control Program in accordance with current standards of regulatory agencies and governmental and organizational activities
• To implement and update the infection control policies and procedures, and monitor compliance.
• To train and follow –up the non-medical staff.
To maintain and promote cooperative environment with Patients, Family and visitors by health teaching and education .
General Administrative Tasks (applicable to all staff)

10. Maintains regulatory requirements, including all national and JCI regulations.
11. Wears identification while on duty.
12. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire, safety and infection control.
13. Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the hospital.
14. Maintains organizational confidentiality at all times.

16. Resolves personnel concerns at the departmental level, utilizing the grievance process as required.
Job-Specific Administrative Tasks
1. The post holder will participate in education programs for all disciplines of staff in relation to infection control and to improve compliance with best practice.
2. Monitor the Compliance of Isolation Policies and procedures
3. Set up and/or participate in clinical audit on a regular basis as agreed within the Infection Control Program.
4. Monitor and follow-up infection control practices in all department, per assignment done by the infection director and based on needs and audit feedback.
5. Support the design, development and implementation of the Annual Program for Infection Control, and other activities required to meet the Quality Improvement Standards for Infection Control.
6. Follow-up the implementation of Care Bundles in clinical areas .
7. To Educate patient family and visitors according to health needs to promote health safety.
8. Monitor and support the competency test plan.
9. Follow-up the needle stick injuries .
10. Help and support in prevalence studies to due preventive strategy plan.
11. Monitor antibiotic usage.
12. Assist in the investigation of complaints made regarding service.
13. Monitor & Collect Data for all IC KPIs including hand hygiene compliance rate.
14. Act as auditor and trainer for non-medical areas (Laundry Department, Environmental Care Unit, Dietary department ).
15. Report immediately hospital infections, violations in infection control practices to the Infection Control director to take the measurement action, using information gathered from the following: Laboratory reports, medical file and surveillance protocols
16. Regularly prepare the weekly report and discussed all issues with the infection control team .
17. Wears appropriate clothing for job functions.
18. Meets with other healthcare providers to discuss projects, goals and to solve operational problems.
19. Completes annual education requirements.
20. Resolves personnel concerns at the departmental level, utilizing the grievance process as required.
21. Attends annual review and performs departmental in-services.
22. Attends Infection Control link nurses meetings
23. Meets with other healthcare providers to discuss projects, goals and to solve operational problems.
24. Presentation of infection control educational programs
Job-Specific Technical Tasks (ONLY to be used with the physicians, dentists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, nurses, clinical support services technicians, engineers, TAD technicians, EMT staff)
1. Set up and/or participate in clinical audit on a regular basis as agreed within the Infection Control Program
2. Follow-up the needle stick injuries .
3. Monitor antibiotic usage.
4. Monitor the Intravenous characterization to monitor IV phlebitis to reduce the complication and the rate of phlebitis
5. Monitor the hand hygiene practices and the compliance in all department to induce the hand hygiene compliance rate to the maximum.
6. Act as auditor and trainer for non-medical area (laundry department, Environmental care unit ,dietary department,….).
المهارات
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field approved from SCFHS for non-medical college.
• Or Bachelor degree of Biomedical Science in infection and immunity.
• Holds a current valid professional license to practice

تأسست الهيئة الملكية للجبيل وينبع بموجب مرسوم ملكي أصدره جلالة الملك خالد بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ يرحمه الله - في 16 رمضان عام 1395هـ الموافق 21 سبتمبر عام 1975م. وجاء في المرسوم الملكي: (تشكل هيئة ملكية لتنفيذ خطة التجهيزات الأساسية اللازمة لإعداد منطقتي الجبيل وينبع كمنطقتين صناعيتين ويكون لهذه الهيئة شخصية معنوية مستقلة). كما خصصت للهيئة الملكية ميزانية مستقلة لتنفيذ أعمالها. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu was established as per a Royal Decree issued by HM King Khalid - May Allah have mercy upon him - in 21 September 1975 (16 Ramadan 1395H). The Royal Decree read “A Royal Commission shall be formed to execute the necessary infrastructure plan for the preparation of Jubail and Yanbu Cities as industrial areas. The Commission shall have an independent legal personality”. An independent budget was dedicated for the Royal Commission.
