The charge nurse will undertake the management of the unit on a day-to-day basis in the absence of or in conjunction with the Head Nurse. To provide clinical leadership and support colleagues to plan, monitor and evaluate skilled and appropriate care for the daycare patient and ensure provision of evidence based care. You will work as part of a team supporting and developing colleagues by mentoring and assessing skills. The charge nurse must act as a role model in providing specialist knowledge within daycare service.
The function of the Day Care Unit is to provide holistic care in a day service for all age groups requiring treatment, investigations, assessment, implementation and evaluation of care and admission for various:

Participates in discharge planning to ensure a safe and effective discharge from the Unit.2.2.10 Prepares, administers and records medications. Reports any adverse reactions.2.2.11 Maintains proper supplies and appropriate medical equipment to care for patients.2.2.12 Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.2.2.13 Arrange for patient transfer to other departments and, complete required documentation.2.2.14 Practicing infection control methods/ protocols.2.2.15 Acquiring the knowledge and expertise to take appropriate action in emergency situations.2.2.16 Ordering of Blood products, including Factor products.2.2.1 General Daycare Service (Medical / Surgical) Endoscopy.I. Actively participate with medical staff in all procedures within the Endoscopy and general daycare service.I. Assess implement and evaluate nursing care plan for patients attending the Endoscopy and General Daycare service.II. Assist medical staff with procedures undertaken within the Unit. II. Ensure equipment is in good working order according to the Infection Control and Health and Safety Policies.2.2.2 Equipment and Machinery:The Daycare service Charge Nurse is expected to have knowledge of all equipment used in the area, however may not have daily clinical involvement.

تأسست الهيئة الملكية للجبيل وينبع بموجب مرسوم ملكي أصدره جلالة الملك خالد بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ يرحمه الله - في 16 رمضان عام 1395هـ الموافق 21 سبتمبر عام 1975م. وجاء في المرسوم الملكي: (تشكل هيئة ملكية لتنفيذ خطة التجهيزات الأساسية اللازمة لإعداد منطقتي الجبيل وينبع كمنطقتين صناعيتين ويكون لهذه الهيئة شخصية معنوية مستقلة). كما خصصت للهيئة الملكية ميزانية مستقلة لتنفيذ أعمالها. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu was established as per a Royal Decree issued by HM King Khalid - May Allah have mercy upon him - in 21 September 1975 (16 Ramadan 1395H). The Royal Decree read “A Royal Commission shall be formed to execute the necessary infrastructure plan for the preparation of Jubail and Yanbu Cities as industrial areas. The Commission shall have an independent legal personality”. An independent budget was dedicated for the Royal Commission.
