Category 1: Organizational Responsibilities (applicable to all staff)
1. Follow RCMC policy and procedure
2. Attends annual review and performs departmental in-services.

7. Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with Vendors, Physicians and Staff.

10. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire, safety and infection control.

16. Resolves personnel concerns at the departmental level, utilizing the
grievance process as required.

18. It is the duty of every employee to report any negative or abnormal or
unexpected event/incident as soon as possible after its occurrence by
filling the appropriate Occurrence Variance Report (OVR) form and
submitting it to the Quality Improvement Department (QID) after being
reviewed by the supervisor and/or head of department.
Subcategory 2.2: Job-Specific Technical Tasks (ONLY to be used with the
physicians, dentists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, nurses, clinical support
services technicians, engineers, TAD technicians, EMT staff)
1. Establishes work according to unit dose dispensing system and to follow
up its implementation.
2. Revises patient medications profile and verifies the safety of prescription
for drug allergy and drug-drug interactions.
3. Solves problem as related to unit dose dispensing system through
communication with health care provider as needed.
4. Monitors the correct use of medication in the wards.
5. Monitors drug requisitions and supplies to the unit dose area.
6. Supervises technicians working under him or her and ensures that
medicine reaches patient on time.
7. Prepares and supervises IV admixtures and total parenteral nutrition
preparations.
8. Compound extemporaneous preparations as requested by Physicians.
9. Ensures that preparations are devoid of drug interactions and to refer to
relevant pharmacopoeias as applicable.
10. Ensures the sterility of the laminar flow hood, the cleanliness of the IV
mixing areas and makes frequent inspection.
11. Follow instructions given to him/her by his immediate supervisor and
reports to him as necessary.
12. Acts as an assistant to the inpatient pharmacy supervisor to organize the
work in the unit dose dispensing and IV mixing areas, deputize his/her
during his/her absence as required.
13. Dispenses prescription in the proper way and ensure that medication
dispensed is in the right manner according to pharmacy best practice.
14. Ensures appropriateness of medications with regards to diagnosis and
contacts physicians if any doubt.
15. Provide proper patient counseling.
16. Stores medications under proper condition.
17. Charges prescription through the system.
18. Directly responsible for dispensing and inventory of narcotic and
controlled drugs.
19. Ensures that procedures for administration and recordkeeping of
narcotic and restricted drugs are carried out in accordance with the
Ministry of Health regulation and RCMC policy and procedures.
20. Performs monthly inspection of narcotic and controlled drugs in the
nursing units to verify the validity of drugs, recordkeeping procedures,
stock inventory and report to pharmacy manager if any discrepancy.
21. Work in any other pharmacy location as requested.
22. Submits monthly report of narcotic drugs inventory to the head of
pharmacy.
23. Prepares semi-annual report of all narcotic and restricted drugs
received/purchased, dispensed, stock-on-hand with their respective
expiration dates, and any other information required by the Ministry of
Health.
24. Takes over the OPD and Inpatient Pharmacy daily inventory as needed.
25. Prepares and dispenses medications to patients as prescribed by
physicians and in accordance with the pharmacy prescription policy.
26. Maintains adequate approved stock to meet patient’s needs .
27. Updates physicians on out-of-stock medications, and recommends
suitable substitutes if required by any physician, and discusses with the
Head of Pharmacy Department if in doubt.
28. Monitors and reports prescriptions for possible medication errors and
near-misses.
29. Report any suspected Adverse Drug Reaction.
30. Attends pharmacy and other departmental meetings as required.

Education
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from recognized school of pharmacy

مستشفى الهيئة الملكية بينبع Royal Commission Medical Center Yanbu
تأسست الهيئة الملكية للجبيل وينبع بموجب مرسوم ملكي أصدره جلالة الملك خالد بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ يرحمه الله - في 16 رمضان عام 1395هـ الموافق 21 سبتمبر عام 1975م. وجاء في المرسوم الملكي: (تشكل هيئة ملكية لتنفيذ خطة التجهيزات الأساسية اللازمة لإعداد منطقتي الجبيل وينبع كمنطقتين صناعيتين ويكون لهذه الهيئة شخصية معنوية مستقلة). كما خصصت للهيئة الملكية ميزانية مستقلة لتنفيذ أعمالها. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu was established as per a Royal Decree issued by HM King Khalid - May Allah have mercy upon him - in 21 September 1975 (16 Ramadan 1395H). The Royal Decree read “A Royal Commission shall be formed to execute the necessary infrastructure plan for the preparation of Jubail and Yanbu Cities as industrial areas. The Commission shall have an independent legal personality”. An independent budget was dedicated for the Royal Commission.
