• Identify patients correctly, review exam order, and explain the procedure fully to thepatient and the potential relative if needed.
• Prepare patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjustingimmobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjustingequipment controls to set exposure factors.
• Monitor patient during and after procedure for patient's safety and to gain patientcooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment;answering questions. To make sure that the room is clean, tidy and ready forthe next patient at all times.
• Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing warm up or preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; reporting malfunctions to supervisors; calling for repairs; maintaining equipmentrecords/inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Minimize radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques,using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding. Maintain safe and cleanworking environment by complying with hospital and departmental procedures,rules, and regulations.
• Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level;anticipating needed supplies; making sure that placing and expediting orders for supplies was put in place.

• Registered with SCFHS as  Specialist
• English Proficiency (verbal and written)
• BLS certified
