Job Description
Basic Purpose of the Job:
- To provide the highest possible standard of patient care in accordance with granted clinical privileges and available resources.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provides, directs, and supervises medical care for all patients requiring his/her specialty, in coordination with colleagues, in accordance with the approved clinical privileges granted by the Hospital Credentialing and Privileging Committee.
- Contributes to the implementation of Medical Staff Bylaws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in support of healthcare service delivery.
- Provides education, training, and guidance to junior medical staff.
- Assumes full responsibility for the clinical care of critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), in accordance with approved medical standards.
- Participates in the on-call duties as required by the Department of Medical Affairs.
- Strives to enhance personal clinical expertise and improve standards of medical practice in order to reduce morbidity and promote cost-effectiveness.
- Performs any other duties or activities related to the department as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Saudi Board or an equivalent qualification such as American, Canadian, or Australian Board, or CCST/CCT (Europe), or other qualifications that qualify for Consultant grade after completing the required years of experience, provided that the duration of training is not less than three years.
- Must be certified or eligible for certification by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
Work Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience after obtaining the required qualification (Saudi Board or equivalent).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience for holders of other qualifications qualifying for Consultant grade, in accordance with the Saudi Council Manual.

برنامج الخدمات الصحية للهيئة الملكية بالجبيل Royal Commission Health Services Program In Jubail
تأسست الهيئة الملكية للجبيل وينبع بموجب مرسوم ملكي أصدره جلالة الملك خالد بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ يرحمه الله - في 16 رمضان عام 1395هـ الموافق 21 سبتمبر عام 1975م. وجاء في المرسوم الملكي: (تشكل هيئة ملكية لتنفيذ خطة التجهيزات الأساسية اللازمة لإعداد منطقتي الجبيل وينبع كمنطقتين صناعيتين ويكون لهذه الهيئة شخصية معنوية مستقلة). كما خصصت للهيئة الملكية ميزانية مستقلة لتنفيذ أعمالها. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu was established as per a Royal Decree issued by HM King Khalid - May Allah have mercy upon him - in 21 September 1975 (16 Ramadan 1395H). The Royal Decree read “A Royal Commission shall be formed to execute the necessary infrastructure plan for the preparation of Jubail and Yanbu Cities as industrial areas. The Commission shall have an independent legal personality”. An independent budget was dedicated for the Royal Commission.
