Cardiology Consultant (Interventional)

Basic Purpose of the Job:

To obtain experience and advanced skills in Interventional Cardiology, with a focus on Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, and to facilitate and support efficiency and smooth workflow of the daily Cardiac Catheter Lab list.

Essential Functions: 

Responsible for the delivery of clinical services as delegated by the Head of Cardiology.

Performs diagnostic and interventional angiography procedures in accordance with approved clinical privileges.

Coordinates patient admissions and discharges to ensure efficient utilization of Cardiac Catheter Lab sessions and maximize bed occupancy.

Ensures a safe work environment and minimizes risks to staff and patients.

Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care.

Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the scope of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities.

Job Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited medical school.

Completion of appropriate internship requirements.

Saudi Board or an equivalent qualification such as American, Canadian, Australian Board, or CCST/CCT for Europe, or other qualifications qualifying for Consultant grade after the required years of experience, provided the duration of training is not less than three years.

Completion or equivalent of advanced training in Interventional Cardiology.

Must be certified or eligible for certification by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Excellent communication skills.
